August 2020:  Father Paul Dowling, who served as assistant to Fr Kevin, has moved (mid-August) to Blessed Nicholas Postgate, Redcar, as assistant priest alongside Canon Derek Turnham. We are so grateful for the help that Fr Paul has given both parishes for the past 12 months during Fr Kevin’s illness. Let us wish him health and joy in his new parish.  (Redcar: On 1 January 2015, a new parish of Blessed Nicholas Postgate was formed through the union of the parishes of the Sacred Heart and St Augustine.)

(Born 14/11/1923,   Ordained 06/1950,   Died 23/02/2018)

Our dear friend and founding priest of St Paulinus parish, Father Patrick Grant, passed to his eternal rest on Friday 23rd February 2018, aged 94.  We thank God for his life and for all he did for St Paulinus Parish. May he rest in peace.  Link:  Fr Grant’s Obituary in ‘The Voice’ (April 2018)
