Haxby & Wigginton U3A : Heard of it?

U3A (university of the third age) offer a range of study, creative and leisure groups for retired people, meeting regularly, Activities are organised by our members who share their skills and expertise. No qualifications are needed and there are no exams to take. Once a month we meet in Wigginton Recreation Hall, where we have a guest speaker and refreshments. We arrange monthly Sunday lunches in local hotels or pubs, plus coach outings, theatre trips and holidays to places of general or group interest. See the EVENTS page for what’s going on. Group meetings are often held in members’ homes, but may be held in local halls, for which a small charge may be made. There is an annual membership fee of only £10.
